We organized and tidied cables in a living room to keep a robotic vacuum cleaner running smoothly.
A robot vacuum cleaner kept unplugging the subwoofer under the couch,
pulling down lamps,
getting stuck in the mess of cables behind the television,
and sometimes even its own charger cable.
We used the NG Sensible Solutions Cable Management System to organize, tidy, and lift the cables in the room off the ground.
Here are the components of the Cable Management System:
Step 1: Organize Cables behind the Couch
We folded and attached the subwoofer cable on the side of the electrical faceplate
and the lamp cable to the back of the end table
so the robot vacuum could drive under the cables.
Step 2: Organize Remaining Lamp Cables
Two other lamps had cables on the floor.
For the first lamp, we organized the cable down the leg of the end table.
Here is another view.
For the other lamp, we tucked the cable into the base of the lamp.
Step 3: Organize Robot Vacuum Charge Cable
Because the charger moves from room to room, we organized the charge cable to the charge station itself.
We placed an Anchor Circle on the back of the charger
and mounted the cable with a Circle Tie to the back of it.
Here is the robotic vacuum parked on the charger dock.
Step 4: Organize Television Cables
We organized the cables beside and behind the television
so the Roomba could move freely under the television stand.
For a step-by-step explanation of how we organized the television cables, read this post.
Bonus Step: Remote Control Organization
To further organize, tidy, and save space, we organized the remotes for the living room and hung from an end table using the NG Sensible Solutions Universal Remote Control Organizer.
Here is the view of the remotes from a seat on the couch
and from a loveseat in the living room.

We used the NG Sensible Solutions Cable Management System in a living room to organize the cables behind a couch,
behind a television
on an end table,
and behind a charging station
so a robot vacuum could clean up and dock itself without problems.
